So when I ordered my Den football tickets I selected a Medium sized t shirt. I went to the student store yesterday and tried on some of the Medium shirts and I realized they were WAY TOO BIG for me O.O So now I want a small instead. I called the Central Ticket Office and the guy just said I could just ask for a small instead when I pick up my shirt before a game. Do you think I can honestly just ask right there on the spot before the game "Oh...my Medium doesn't fit me, even though I ordered it, can I switch it for a small instead? Thanks."

^i don't see anything wrong with that statement... just say you want a small, i don't think it's a big deal

are you going to the game vs Tennessee? i dont really know anyone at ucla yet but would love to meet up with some fellow cc'er at the roser bowl!

I would love to meet up with you motojdm or anyone else who is going. all of my friends dont live in the area and will be attendng games once the school year starts.

guys...you ask for your shirt at the gate. show them ur bcard, tell them ur size. They don't really keep track.

And not trying to disappoint you excited freshie fans, but UCLA vs. Tennessee will be a SLAUGHTER. if you know anything about the caliber of the tennessee team, then you would stay home and just wait for the result on TV...if we are lucky, we'll lose by less than 40 points.

PERSONALLY, i am a bruin but a LSU tigers football fan. Cuz they are simply good.

and moto, you meant rose bowl right?

lol ...ucla needs better football recruiters or something, we own at all the other sports, so why not this one! we aren't even top 25 lol,,, i think we are like 40 ish or something

You're really overestimating the Vols. If UCLA played last year's team, they would lose by probably 30+. But this year, new OC, new QB (Crompton is better than JUCO transfer Craft though). They are still good, I think their back will run for over 100 yards and a score.

UCLA is questionable at their CB positions, and also their OL is inexperienced. No way to open holes for the running game.

My prediction is anything from a 14 point loss to an upset, just depends on the D and creating turnovers.

The UCLA commits this year are solid. There is a lot of promise, I think, in Aundre Dean and Nelson Rosario. I think the latter finally gives us a big downfield threat, not like a Dominique Johnson who is big but can't catch. You have to give them time. Kevin Craft is supposed to play like a 5 star recruit ... but I think he'll throw lots of INTS in his first start against a good pass defense.

UCLA can catch (that one handed catch against SC last year was the stuff of LEGEND). but from personal experience, UCLA needs to: 1) not fumble the ball so much and make every carry solid, 2) not throw any interceptions. but i hope our new lineup this year will do that. Tennessee has severely trimmed down since its glorious days of a couple years back. But the Volts are nonetheless infamous for their defense and running game.

SEC is the undisputed, toughest division in NCAA football. and tennessee comes out 2nd, 3rd if not first, every year.

look, as good as Tennessee might be this year, it's still the first game with a bunch of starters with more talent than experience and a new (and more complicated) offense. plus, our defense has historically been strong against the run. IF it's a rout, which i doubt it will be, it will be because their QB learns fast enough to take advantage of our not-so-experienced secondary.

they have more talent than experience...as opposed to we have more experience than talent??? lol.

look, im not here to bash my alma mater's football team. i am merely stating a matter of fact.

You're not talking about Dominique Johnson are you? That was just one play, one good catch. You're not counting the number of throws to him in the redzone that he bobbled during a mismatch (he's 6'3 and missed lobs over smaller corners .... )

UCLA's running game is average. When Kahlil Bell is healthy, it keeps the D honest. Good hardnosed power back, and mix in Aundre Dean and Raymond Carter for finesse backs ... they're good.

The only problem will be the O-line. If you can't block, you'll get stuffed on the runs, can't spread the field, and are prone to bad passes in the middle of the field. I think UCLA will give up lots of sacks early ... at least it isn't Osaar Rashaan running the game this time ... who can't get rid of the ball when pressure is coming (taking a 10 yard sack instead of throwing the ball away).

because he fs up so much...thats why its stuff of legend, :)

and yea, i meant to include sacks up there with the fumbles

sometimes a good D is enough, aka pitted against a weak D, the O will have a chance to score, and with the strong defense, the opposing team wont score. but UNFORTUNATELY, tennessee's defense AND offense are well above average.

well hopefully craft can step up and norm chow can get this offense going, im not optimistic on winning this mismatch but anything can happen, stanford beat $C last year, LSU lost a couple times while they are at number 1 and we can't forget the wolverines lost to appalachian state :)
be careful with your tigers there jack, without perriloux your tigers might just let appalachian pull off another upset :)
