I know I'm very late. Many of you have finished their drafts. But would this be a good essay topic? I wanted to write an essay describing a typical day at school. Would it be a good idea or is it vague? Need some honest suggestions...

anyone?..please

sounds like it could work.

Thanks…but I need a deeper insight…like I would start with 6:00 AM wake up from sleep…add a little detail and sarcasm to that point…make it funny and add a twitch…then add 6:15 AM hurry for bla bla bla…and continue

Has anyone ever written something like that? Would appreciate answers and suggestions from Parents and College students…please help

The best topic is the one that allows for the most personal, detailed and revealing essay. Will the topic you have in mind allow for that?

I think would be the most topic that will based on your experienced and for your personality.

Where would you go with this? What would you be trying to tell the committee about yourself?

It sounds like a good idea! I was going to do something similar for an essay on my academic life for Bowdoin, but then I decided not to apply…I think you can make a pretty good essay out of it.

I think this will reveal quite everything about me on a typical day. For example: How I loose my socks and miss school bus and about how I spilled a whole bottle of acid in the school chemistry laboratory and then wipe it off without my teacher noticing it and etc.etc.

I just need suggestions on whether this would possibly work and whether this shows whether I am what I am. What would you guys do if you had this topic to write?

^Yeah I had a long response before, but I lost my connection for a day so I couldn’t send it. Anyways, I was basically saying that first I’d recommend doing a real day, not some theoretical “typical” day. There are a couple reasons for this.

What I was saying next is that this could work, and it has worked before for people (although maybe not in the college essay context).

If you need some inspiration, read through some blogs and such and find out what you find the most interesting.

Anyways, I’d just write the goddarn essay already. It shouldn’t take that long. The worst essay is that which is never written.
