Hey guys. I was going to take a practice test today and usually I time them but I was thinking that I should take my time on this one. I was thinking this because then I could go over the questions that I miss because if I cant get them taking my time, I wont be able to get them when Im timed. Also, with the practice I would probably be able to decrease my times without increasing errors. Do you think that this is a good idea? Or should I time myself?

You should time yourself. I didn’t prepare for the ACT and I found myself having to rush on the reading and science sections (still scored a 32), but it helps to be prepared beforehand.

well I mean to learn the stuff. I am going to take a lot of practice tests and most of them will be timed. I just usually come really close in reading and science.

Time yourself- If you don’t finish all of the questions in a section when time runs out, finish the section at your own pace but keep track of those questions completed overtime (and don’t include those in your score). In this way, you will know your score/pacing and be able to complete every question for practice.

Hey it won’t hurt to pass on the timing with this one. It will allow you to familiarize yourself more with the test and will help you down the road! I suggest using a stop watch and just timing how long it takes you to finish each one at your own pace and then move from there. As take more tests try to speed yourself up and then take alot more timed tests… You have time to get the time down; just make sure you get the timing down eventually (or soon if you’re taking the September one!)

I just finished the reading section at my own pace and got done in 33 min but I got a 25 so it seems like I just need to comprehend everything.
