I applied under film and media studies because I didn’t really know what to pick. Today I just found out from the program’s website that they only admit 60 freshman a year…could this be why I was denied?

There is no separate application needed for admission as an undergraduate Film and Media Studies major. Your major can be declared when you apply to the university. The major is open to freshmen and junior transfer students. The Film and Media Studies Department does not review individual undergraduate applications.
