Would this be considered lying? How should I change it.

I'm in Science Bowl and Science Olympiad. For my Sci Oly team, I do the majority of the theoretical work. So I study the same books for Sci Oly as for Sci Bowl. Unfortunately, Sci Oly at my school only meets a few times a month while Sci Bowl meets 3-5 times a week. So, over my high school career, during Sci Bowl, I've been studying for Sci Oly as well since there is great overlap between the two. So is it fine if I divide the hours between the two EC's on my application? For example:

Sci Bowl takes an average of 10-25 hours a week or something of that nature. Can I take like 5 hours off this activity and transfer it to Sci Oly activity? Keep in mind what I study for Sci Oly are the exact same textbooks as I study for Sci Bowl. I also spent some time only studying on specific Sci Oly concepts during Sci Bowl since they have like a thousand different science books in the room. =P

Thanks

Nyeeeeeh I’d say you should stick to the truth.

bump 10 char thanks

I think you’re probably over thinking it.
If they see you show consistency in both clubs I doubt it’ll make much of a difference.
But I also doubt they’ll check in such a scrutinizing manner where they will realize you stretched one clubs hours minimally.
So if you feel its that important I say go for it.

people over-exaggerate their hours as it is so i think you’re fine either way

your idea is good. split it.
