But there was a green smiley after the statement.

then why say it in the first place???

She was kidding. Chill.

sry…its just urban is pretty serious incase u havent checked the sex@boarding school on cafe

I was just joking…we’re rivals. That’s why I put the green smiley after the statement. Sorry, if I didn’t make myself clear. I believe Andover and Exeter are both great schools; I even read the Phillipian to get a taste of boarding school, because “old” Exeter won’t digitalize their newspaper. :)

haha k just checking :)

LOL!
You’re not answering my question!
Why is everyone so sure that the OP will like Andover more?

^ Thank you thats what im really wondering

basically would it be a mistake to turn down andover?

It would be a mistake to go to andover if you strongly feel that it is not the right decision.

Well I guess almost everyone said you’d choose Andover because…(at least on their website) over 95% of the current students love their decisions.

Haha but you should never listen to us. Go talk to some current students/parents, alumni/ae, or those “old” CCers.

You need to reevaluate why you want to go to boarding school. Was it the academic challenge? Is your new school supplying that now? Access to activities you wanted to try (like some sport)? Is your new school supplying that now? Did you want to be more independent? If so, are you not feeling you need that any more because you’ve become more mature?

If the reasons for going to a boarding school are now being met by your current situation and you are very happy where you are now, why go? You will spend a EXTRA year in high school if you go. You will spend a lot of money that could go towards college. If you had been as happy as you are now back last Fall, would you have even applied?

Don’t give up on the good thing you’ve got right now so quickly just because of the name “ANDOVER”. Be absolutely sure of your decision.
