I am beginning to think about project ideas for the DHS. I was considering doing something focusing on summer camps and/or kids. However, I wrote my application essay about my experiences of working as a summer camp counselor and my interaction with the kids there. Would it be overkill/not show enough different sides to my personality if I based my DHS project on the same concept that I wrote about in my essay?

I think that is an impossible question to answer. Writers and artists often take entirely different approaches to the same subject and the works are all considered original and worthwhile. So I think it depends on how creative you can be.

@fallenchemist My focus for the DHS would probably be less on myself and more on the kids and their experiences. So as long as I do the project in a very creative manner, you don’t think it would necessarily hurt my chances just because it’s dealing with the same overall topic?

Exactly. Better to stick with a subject you know well and feel strongly about.

@fallenchemist Awesome. As always, thank you for your help!
