I just received my December SAT score, and while it was good, it was lower than expected. Oddly enough, each section was exactly 30 points lower than what I was scoring on practice tests at home.

My question to you is this: Would circling/bubbling-in the question number itself on the answer sheet cause any problems with scoring? The circles were quite dark at times, nearly as dark as an actual bubbled-in answer would be. I tried my best to erase them, but I had done it quite hastily and I may not have done it very well at times. Would the CB's scoring machines encounter any difficulties due to the circles around the question numbers? And if so, would these just show up as omitted questions on the score report?
