Hello!
I'm a Nigerian-American & I was born in GA. I am also the first grandchild to be born in the U.S. My parents were born in Nigeria, but went to college here. Would it make a difference to say in applications for college that I'm first generation to somewhat of an extent??

These are the schools I have on my mind, but I know among these I'm definitely applying to 8 of the schools here:

University of Georgia-1st choice, not sure under Early Action
University of Tennessee-Knoxville
Auburn University*
Spelman College*
Florida State University*
Louisiana State University*
University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill
University of Alabama
University of Florida-maybe
University of Mississippi
Mississippi State University
Georgia Southern University*
West Georgia State University*

*-Schools I'm definitely applying to.

I can send you my stats if you would like to see them.

No, first generation would be lying. Anyways, it's not like a school asks you if you are first generation up front, they ask for info about your parents, if they attended college, and where. So you would have to put their college info up.
