Would this sound like giving up?

I have an essay I really like about giving up on a dream of mine, becoming a CEO.

Basically, it says that I fell in love with the dream even though I don't have the personality/character to succeed on the business world. I tried debate/forensics to get better at confidence/persuasion and worked hella hard, but couldn't change myself. So in the end, I decided to "give up" and pick a dream that actually suits my strengths: math/science.

The thing is, almost all of my ECs concentrate on debate/forensics, and I've actually been quite successful with both. I'm wondering if my essay about giving up would put all my achievements on debate/forensics to waste.

well i doubt telling them that you give up is a good thing, but if you write it really well, and can show them that it was in fact a good thing, then maybe it could work…
as for your activities, make sure to include something about what they taught you and even if they may not be in your field of interest anymore, they will always be valuable experience bla blabla… you know what i mean ?

ok, thanks. I’m just kinda worried cuz it’s like a hit or miss thing.
