Would transferring colleges jeopardize admission?

Hi everyone.

I was recently admitted to CoE to study aerospace engineering, but I've recently been considering majoring in physics instead. If I did decide to transfer to LSA to study physics before beginning classes, would that reflect badly on my application, and would it put my admissions decision up for reconsideration?

I’m in a similar boat as you. I applied (and was accepted) to LSA because on the application it said to apply to LSA if I wanted to do Ross. However, from Michigan information sessions I’ve learned that I could have applied for admission to Ross out of CoE or Kinesiology (Sport Management), both of which schools I’d rather be in my first year. I’m wondering if I can transfer between schools before classes begin.

@PointOfNoR3turn: You’ve already been admitted to the university. They’re not going to revoke your offer of admission just because you’ve changed your mind about what you’d like to study.

However, you can’t apply to transfer to LSA until you’re in your second term here (http://www.lsa.umich.edu/students/academicsrequirements/academicpolicies/residencepolicyandtransfercredit/crosscampustransfertolsa</a>), so I would try to take classes in CoE, if you enroll, that would also be relevant to a physics major.
