Okay..I know we have to list all the colleges we have attended, but I still have a question regarding this issue..But don't get me wrong. I will for sure to turn all of my transcripts:) I just want to make sure something.. I went to 2 colleges and one of them was the one I attended while I was in sophomore at my high school. But unfortunately, I got a D in that class back in my sophomore year. But I still need to turn in that grade since it's part of my college records. The thing is..one of my friends got accepted to UCSD this year and she didn't list her grades from the other college (she attended 2 colleges). She took them while she was still in high school. mm..so my question is..Do UCs even check up everyone's record to make sure if they have "hidden" records just like my friend? I mean, I heard that if she didn't apply for any sort of financial aid in order to take that class from the other college, it is extremely unlikely that UCs do find out. or others are saying they UCs do look up for everyone's record which I really don't believe since there's ample amount of transfer applicants. Please let me know which one is true! Cus if UCs eventually find out, then she has to let UCSD know that she didn't turn in her college transcript.. Thank you for reading my long story! I would appreciate if anyone could answer my question. Thank you again! :)

you have to report it, even though it was while you were in high school. if the UC’s somehow did find out, it is my understanding that they can rescind your degree.

ask yourself a few questions…

does the UC I want to go to want my high school transcripts?
does the college class I got a D in show up on my high school transcript?
is the college I want to hide in the same district as the college I am transferring from?
is it worth getting caught? (blackballed from UC system / admission rescinded if caught)
can I retake the class before I transfer?
is it UC transferable?

consider those questions before you start hiding stuff. I considered that route but I decided to do it the honest way and retook some classes and got an academic renewal for the others.

Is your friend… you? Hahahaha

Honestly, the chances of them finding your old transcript is, I’d say, 90%. But 10% is reason enough to be skeptical. I was in the same situation (took a few courses at CC in HS, got pretty bad grades) but decided to send them in anyway. I told them that, though I acknowledge my grades, they do not accurately reflect who I am as a student today.

Hope it works out for ya.

lol @ this thread. I’ve heard they won’t find out…but you’re going to be worried all the time.

I actually have a sorta similar question. I’m currently attending a UC, and am about to finish my first year. I’m going to be applying for transfer next year (UC-UC transfer). I took Calc I at my local community college while I was in high school, but due to a lot of different reasons, I got a C in the class. Since I’ve been at the UC, I’ve received pretty much all A’s in my classes. When I report my grade for Calc I, will it factor into my GPA, even though it was a community college course and I’m now attending a UC?

We have our answer: YES

You should be honest. I have 3 F’s from a semester in Switzerland (my home country) and I told them, even though they would have NEVER found out. It’s a matter of integrity.

^I AGREE. Be honest about everything. I had 2 F’s in major classes from my home country. Still got into my choice schools.
