Would University of Austin Texas accept me?

<p>I’m planning on going to a summer camp at the UT Austin. I went to Stanford for a Computer Programming camp a couple summer ago. I have a 3.4 GPA and got a 1740 on the SAT and am graduating with a scholars (adobe honours) diploma. I’m active in several clubs. I’m president of our computer club, Cyber Patriot, and just proposed another computer club for computer programming. I’m on Varsity Quiz, in Photo Club, American Sign Language Club, Yearbook and started two fundraisers: one for earthquake relief after the Sri Lanka tsunami in 2005 and another for leukemia. Also I'm of middle east ethnicity and am not planning on applying with financial aid.</p>

<p>It's my first choice and I'm really afraid because I have a kind of low GPA and SAT score.</p>

<p>Top 8% of your Texas public high school class? You’re in if you meet other requirements (college prep courses taken and the like).</p>

<p>If not, it would likely be pretty hard to get in with the stats listed above, since you’d be competing for the remaining 25% of the slots.</p>
