<p>now i have serveral good ideas for essays, but the one i like best is also a potential worst one to write</p>

<p>it's for the common app long essay, btw.. (evaluate an experience, what you learned, etc)</p>
<p>ps, as if anyone really knows the answer to my question... nobody here is an admin officer, im assuming</p>
<p>for example as a start, you write</p>
<p>before you forward my application around the office in an email titled "look at this guy! LOL!!! what a low GPA, etc etc," please just hear me out. i am a genuinely smart student... blah blah blah...</p>
<p>hmm.. I think any kind of essay that shows YOURSELF would be fine... unless the essay talks about sex, drugs, murder(???) or something like that.........lol</p>

<p>It depends on which schools they're for, how risky they are, and whether they are done well.</p>

<p>I was gonna say that your essay would be gold if the beginning was funny enough. But upon further review, I'm thinkin... Isn't the humor in your opening targeting the adcoms?? (all humor has a target) I mean, it would be funny for anyone looking at it, i.e. Haahahah look at those guys, they laugh at the dumb kids and email it to each other... but I dunno if the adcoms themselves would like that particular portrait.</p>

<p>BTW dont craft any part of ur essay in such a way that in can be replaced by BLAH BLAH BLAH. Golden rule of essays- doesn't matter what u say as long as it isnt Blah blah blah. Most'll stop reading.</p>
