would you consider yourself an adult?

In the way I make every decision in my life without almost any parental guidance, yes, I am an adult.
In the way I carry myself, my habits and tendencies and the stuff I do for fun...I'm a 6-year old.

I think I could survive without guidance or anything, but I wouldn't ever want to.

i can't cook and maturity wise, NO but i'm smart and i know what's right and wrong

EDIT: @ hirokee: i'm the same way

I'm a 41 year old trapped in a 17 year old body. Not fun.

Maturity? Sometimes
Age? As of 2 days ago, yes

legally i am..i guess i am an adult b/c i never really laugh, i'm almost always serious, and i read financial news sometimes...so yeah. i def. do the whole adult act pretty faithfully.

haha happy birthday lilygraces :)

It depends. On one hand, I'm really calm in bad situations and I'm good with kids. I'm responsible too.

Still, I don't have a job and I like to have fun and do stupid things too. I have plenty of time (hopefully) to act old in the future.

i think i am... i take care of myself for the most part, except sometimes waking up in the morning. mentally and emotionally i'm an adult... tho theres definitely a thought in the back of my mind telling me to slow down and enjoy being a "kid" but i really dont think i could go back to being a kid even if i wanted to

i think all people should consider themselves adults by the time they graduate high school. if not, it's not gonna be an easy road from there... especially if you're going away for college.

:( No. I still play spies.

thanks fizix!

if i subjected everyone to my definition the thread would be boring

No, the answers would just be standardized, instead of being based on random "reader exercises" and arbitrary definitions.

I'm not all that mature. I don't know how to do a lot of common chores/responsibilities (for example, lighting a match), and I lack a good deal of common sense.
I am somewhat aware of others, and I am FINANCIALLY mature, not spending excess money and buying only things I need (or really, really want). But in terms of general maturity, I probably wouldn't be considered an adult quite yet.

Standardized is boring. The fun is seeing everybody define it.
