It might be fun to wear it at some party with some good ol' friends or something. Outside of that sphere though it would be a bit too unnecessarily cocky of me to wear it, despite the humor factor. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, I def wouldn't wear it in public. This braggin attitude of some US students who define themselves by the school they got accepted to makes me upset anyway. You will never see anyone in Paris run around with a shirt saying: " I go to Sorbonne/Sciences Po, I'm cool you suck." This goes for any school in the UK or Germany, as well.

The status elite US Colleges have in society is sometimes really disturbing..

But I guess that Harvard students are more reserved and not so maladroit like some other ivy league students

well i would wear it as a joke but in public that will look quite cocky. If i get in, i was gonna wear sth like "I got in Harvard, **** ___(insert some other school)" just for fun.

My senior year was the year that Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire were having their home run shootout. Sosa was having a once-in-a-lifetime fairy tale season, but he just couldn't keep up with McGwire. The H/Y weekend edition of the Demon ran a picture of Sammy Sosa in a Yale hat. That would have made a classic shirt.

According to a report, for the Class of 2007, 84.3% of common admits chose Harvard over Yale.

(And who could have known, Hanna, that not too many years later, both McGuire and Sosa would be widely scorned as steroid-abusers whose home run totals were artificially enduced.)

haha its hilarious but id be too self conscious to wear it. also, a really good friend who applied early got deferred so im not wearing any harvard stuff for the time being. im very excited, though, to show some H pride during the H/Y game (though i must admit, i really do love yale. i just think the rivalry is fun)

Everyone in my fourth period thought it was a good idea-- since they obviously know it's a joke. Shirts like these--especially from second semester seniors-- should be taken with a big pinch of salt.
