^ you’re right I am sorry. Your life is ruined because of them. I would never have done that to my child. Do you feel better now?

We are all products of the good things and the bad that are part of our lives. You appear to be applying to private American colleges with no need for aid. That makes you incredibly privileged in India, so it appears your parents have also brought unusual good fortune into your life.

Try to focus on the good, you’re a few years delayed but have the opportunity to come to the US and study which few in your country do. You don’t have to love your parents or spend your life with them, but hating them will hurt you most.

We all blame our parents for lots of things when we’re younger (and 21 is still r-e-a-l-l-y young) but at some point you need to get past that. You can’t change what happened. If you’re not currently working with a therapist, please find one that suits you to accelerate your getting on with your life.
