That isn’t the whole list, moron. If you would have read the entire post you’d see that I posted only the ECs I enjoy doing (inb4 25 on your ACT reading). I don’t count NHS and NSHS because every student with a high GPA is in them. My school is not a very good one either. Step up, kiddo. The entire applicant pool for your colleges will have academic related ECs. If you think that will set you apart in admissions officers’ eyes, you’re in for a rude awakening.

Hm doesn’t seem that you read what I posted either actually, and last night I got a 31 on the ACT reading. Keep in mind it was my first time looking at anything related to the ACT. Anyways, I didn’t mention admissions once, I just stated that you probably are only as smart as your name because you have no academic related ECs. Therefore, you are dumb. Your school may not be “a good one,” but I’m sure it’s big enough to give you more opportunities than mine. Loosen your jeans a bit pal.

Protip: work on your English too.

Yeah you said yourself you didn’t consider your academic ECs accomplishments. That’s because they aren’t. NHS isn’t an academic EC, it’s something everybody gets into. Look I’m talking about real academic ECs, like Quiz Bowl and other academic competitions. You have none of those because you are stupid. You don’t have any true academic ECs, yet you place yourself above everyone else. You slurs only show that you lack self control. Could be because ur homeschooled or something idk. You said yourself your school sucked.

I mean who’s behavior on this particular thread is really worse? Mine, or relativelysmarts’s? Seems to me like his attacks are out of place here.

NMSSF isn’t an academic accomplishment? I don’t place myself above everyone – I just think you’re a pretentious moron with nothing going for him and you need to leave CC. Quit castigating kids who have bad ACT scores in other threads and acting as if you’ve accomplished anything by getting a mediocre score on a practice test.

LOL. 0/10 have fun with your 25 composite.

As said earlier, who’s at fault? Seems to me like you can’t stop yourself from insulting me. Maybe you should leave CC?

I can stop at anytime. I’m just tired of your ****posting all over this board.

You really are emotional. Don’t expect real world success if you are going to be a baby.

I don’t want to join in this weird argument you guys are having, but I’m ranked third in my class with a 3.99 UW and I got rejected. I think at my school they only accept athletes or something.

Most of my ec’s I do to fluff up my app, okay all of them. I have no particular passion or goal in life. Whatever I do end up doing will be something I find tolerable or hopefully something I like.

@confettikat I think it is!! :)

@halcyonheather Yeah, I don’t consider NHS much of an accomplishment either. Basically everyone in my school with the qualifying GPA was accepted. We don’t even do any service, which is such a waste.

yes. my only main ec’s are math competitions and competitive piano, i wouldn’t give up both.

Probably not. I would still have done art and quiz bowl, because I enjoy those things, but like halcyonheather I’m really, really shy and a little socially awkward. I am joining clubs like MUN and Model congress because of college apps. Although I am interested in political science and international relations, these clubs are extremely competitive and involve public speaking (my worst nightmare), so I am forcing myself into them. I just hope it all pays off :P

Maybe, maybe not? College stuff has pushed me to move out of my shell and try new things, definitely. I might’ve relaxed more and stressed less about the outcomes of my activities, though.

halcyon, I guess it’s different for every school. Ignore my rageposts. The mods already dealt with chiclanda. At my school if you have the GPA there’s a 95% chance of getting in, so it’s irrelevant to me here.

@1sparkle2 it’s the exact same situation at my school too.
