Similar GPA, virtually the same test scores, and the languages especially got me!
I also speak 3 languages. Going on four though.
From what I know of Carleton, you should be fine.</p>

People think i’m kinda strange and they look at me with skepticism when I tell them that I am into art and want to major in art history.
(that’s the situation in Korea where basically everyone majors in econ, business, med, law. there’s no other major haha)</p>

<p>again I think you have a decent shot although I am not that knowlegeable about both schools… I heard that Wesleyan has great art history programs!</p>

<p>Write a killer essay and I’ll bet you’re in. Killer essay! GPA borderline competitive, but everything else amazing, especially if you show progress since frosh year. </p>

<p>Don’t forget about Northwestern or University of Chicago, although I know you have other dreams. Both NU and UC are eliminating loans for many qualified students. Lucky YOU to live in Lincoln Park. We moved from Chicago many years ago :frowning: </p>

<p>If you can translate your quirky individuality and eclectic personality into a great essay (which I’m assuming you’re perfectly capable of doing, given some of the awards/ec’s you’ve listed), then I think that you’ll be able to counteract your GPA. While by no means stellar, your GPA is fairly solid, and if you really do play up your ec’s and abilities, then I think that you’ll be quite competitive for either Carleton and/or Wesleyan.</p>

<p>I agree with the posts above…your ecs are stellar, your standardized testing grades are great…the only minor flaw is your gpa…is that unweighted? but i do think you will get into the schools you apply. Good luck! </p>
