Would you mind chancing me for Duke?

Duke has been my dream school since I was in my mother's womb. Okay, not really, but still. I really want to apply early, but I'm scared that if I get rejected at Duke, I'll end up losing hope and work apathetically on my other college applications.

I'm a rising junior. I have no idea what my weighted GPA is, as I heard colleges don't really care about those, but my unweighted GPA is around 3.8. I'll probably be around rank 20 out of 700 students.

I've taken 1 AP: AP World History, which I scored a 4 on. This year, I'll be taking AP BC Calculus, AP Lang & Comp, APUSH, and AP Chemistry. Next year, I'll be taking AP Spanish, AP Stat, AP Lit & Comp, AP Gov, and AP Physics C. I anticipate getting/hope to get at least 4's on all of these.

I've done softball since freshman year. I enjoy it, but I'm not the next Babe Ruth or anything.

Additionally, I'm also a devout girl scout. Thin mints, anyone? I've done tons of community service with my troop, but I don't want to bore you guys with a list of those.

I anticipate taking my SAT this October. I'm not too nervous about that, since I took it in 8th grade for CTY and I got a 1650. I've taken multiple practice tests and I've gotten around the 2100 range. If worse comes to worse, I can take a Kaplan class.

Extracurricular wise, I have many of hours towards miscellaneous things and being president of various clubs, but my true passion is leadership. I've been class president for three years now, having been elected every single year.

If it helps/does not help: I'm a female asian, which is very disappointing for me to point out since I'm not valedictorian and probably will not get a perfect 2400 and have not won any world famous science fairs.

Basically, what I am asking of the esteemed CC community is this: Will my EC's makeup for my incompetent grades?

Thanks for taking the time to read my unnecessarily long post. I appreciate it.
