Would you mind explaining something to me about transcripts?

<p>Not only do you have to wade through what your particular high school provides on their transcript, you also have to chugg through what each college wants. For instance, if a college wants to know the student’s class rank, then the student has to go to our registrar and she will hand ink the class rank into a slot on the bottom of the transcript. </p>

<p>Weighted and unweighted GPAs are frustrating. At our school, a full IB student’s 3.5 ranks lower in class rank than a take-it-easy schedule 3.6 </p>

<p>You also need to keep alert if your student has had extra classes, such as a ninth grade math class taken as an 8th grader OR a student who has had a zero hour class OR anything taken for summer credit. These things can disappear into the nanosphere. . . and you want them shown most of the time (shows student effort!).</p>
