what will be the reasons?

GT over MIT: Yes, as GT has more of a balance of Academics/Athletics
GT over Stanford: No, Stanford is more prestigious, equal in athletics, and has more opportunities that aren't tech-oriented.

it really depends what you are looking for in a college and what your major is.

Gt, Mit, Stanford, are all very close schools in terms of engineering. MIT and Stanford are also very pure theoretical science offered, but GT takes the much more pratical side of things, such as designing things for real world problems. MIT and Stanford are a lot harder to get into though, just because the name behind them.

For an out of state student, personally, i would go to MIT. But that is only because of name and prestige. But the hiring opprotunites are pretty much the same for an engineer out of these schools, but stanford has a slight advantage being on the west coast and all.

MIT kids are really nerdy over there, and everything is cut throat. That is the price that comes with going to the no 1 tech school in the world. GT kids are alot more normal though. Stanford has the most normal kids i would say because they are not just known for its engineering.

But for how little you have to work the first 18 years of life for GT, compared to stanford and MIT, GT super outweighs them

is full-ride at GT good enough reason?

It was for me. I had a full ride to GT and a partial scholarship to MIT. I chose GT. You can always go to MIT for grad school if you do well at GT, but you can't erase $100,000 in debt (and with tuition inflation, that's probably $200,000+ now).

Some will disagree, but that was my personal preference. I don't regret it for a second.

Now if you got into GT and MIT and the cost of attendance was the same, that's a different story...

I would go to Stanford in a heartbeat because I would get a lot of aid.
