Hello!

I hope your day is going splendidly! I just stumbled upon this forum, and let me say I am very excited about it!

I am looking for a new graphing calculator. After doing some research, I set my heart on a Ti-Nspire CX CAS. However, I found that in many instances they are prohibited. Can anyone please elaborate on this?

If you have any good recommendations, I would be so very grateful. I want to make sure that it has memory storage, with which to store equations and such, but that isn't prohibited? And preferably won't break the bank? Again thank you so much for your time and response! I appreciate it so much!

I have the Ti-Nspire CX CAS and I love it!! I’ve never had a problem with it not being allowed, whether in class or for SATs. I think some calculators are often prohibited if they have a qwerty keyboard, but this one doesn’t. Besides, your whole class will envy you :P

The ACT prohibits more calculators than the SAT. Keep that in mind while choosing. SAT used to exclude TI-89 and some other graphing calculators but they are currently allowed. They are not permitted for the ACT nor is the TI-Nspire. Not sure if that matters to you or what you require. TI-84 is a good alternative if you need to be able to use it on the ACT or you can just borrow one for that test (but make sure you are very familiar with it).
