I may be faced with this situation because I have recently been accepted to a school that is my friend's first choice school, and if my ED is rejected I will most likely end up going. Yes, we are best friends and have been so for a while, but isnt college about meeting new people? Would you room with your best friend if the situation presented itself?

No-it's better to go with pot-luck. Try to just end up in the same dorm, but don't room together. That'll get old fast.

I'd definitely room with my best friend. If you're the type that can get along, that is. Have you ever lived with your best friend for an extended period of time-- say, you went on vacation together or something? If you can get along like you get along with your family, on a day to day basis, then you have something good there and shouldn't give it up.

If you find yourself annoyed with each other after one sleepover, I'd say it's a bad idea.

I would NOT room with my best friend. You will get sick of each other sooooooo quickly. I think that it is better request to be on the same floor or same dorm if your school does that.

Don't room with someone you want to be friends with! Living with someone will make you dislike them at times just because of the proximity and amount of time spent with each other.

I would, but we're neutron and proton so...

That's very good and very smart advice.

Thank you
bows

Yeah we kinda get on each other's nerves after a few hours. Thats probably not a good sign...

Yeah, don't do it. It's better to room with someone you've never met before because there will be no preconcieved notions to ruin.

get to know someone new so you'll have another buddy
