Title asks it all. I'm referring to a dance/date. Say there was a girl/guy you really liked, but that person asked someone else to a dance/date. He/She got rejected, and now wants to ask you. Would you say yes?

PS: I'm NOT in a situation like this, I was just thinking about things and it came up.

Why not? I mean… who cares if they got rejected? If you want to go out with them (or go to the dance with them or whatever), then just take the opportunity. They might realize that they actually lucked out by getting you.

Depends on how hot she is, how likely it is that she’ll either put out or be in a long term relationship with you, and what other options you have.

It’s just a dance. I wouldn’t take it personally. And at most dances from what I know the only guys who seem to get rejected come off as cocky ******bags or they’ve asked a girl who wouldn’t dance with any other guy either.

Yes I would because I’m way too obsessed with the guy I like atm. Who knows, maybe he’ll wish that he asked me first. Or not. I’m fine either way. He’s so hot. And smart.

@OP: I see why you made this thread. You’re trying to model a function of chances of girls saying yes, and then figuring out if it will approach 100% as you ask more girls.

tbh, they’re like colleges. As long as you ask multiple girls at the same time, they won’t be aware they’re the second choice. Then just wait for the acceptances.

^Umm…I’m asking what you would say if YOU were the second choice, not would you ask another girl if you first got rejected. So nope, no function. Just a question.

Unless you are 13 the person you like has probably asked lots of people out before you. Why not say yes? At least they’re giving you the time of day.
