Would you send these Grades as a Wait List Update

My school is very difficult and very few people get As consistently although there is always that one person that does nothing but stufy with a perfect GPA. I am not that person but I did have all As with a couple of A-s from 9-11th grade. I had a couple of Bs on my senior mid year report (first time ever). One was in AP Euro and the other was in AP Chem. I am a STEM applicant so I am sure the AP Chem grade did me no favors. I ended up getting into an ivy equivalent and am currently wait listed at an ivy/ivy equivalent I really want to attend (did the please take me and I will come already). Please do not bother telling me that my odds of getting off are 2.2% and I should enjoy the nice weather instead, I already know that.

I have always felt the main weakness in my profile was always those sophomore and junior A-s as some were in STEM classes. However my profile even with those is in range for every place. Got my report card and for this semester (only year goes on the transcript) I ended up getting an A in AP Chem, although an A- for the year due to the B in the Fall. All my other grades improved as well except for semester and full year grade AP Euro B+ and got a B+ in AP Art History (half year course so no priors). Neither are things that I plan to major or minor in as I am STEM. Not sure if matters but the first time I took basic Chem as a freshman it was an A- also.

So I really have no more news to send anyone, there are no honors or anything in terms of graduation (not given at my school). I am very proud that I was able to bring AP Chem up from a B to an A (A- for the year) and would send the whole report card (or have school do it whatever) except for the 2 B+s in History (for the record I previously got a 5 in another AP History course). Will it help? Will the B+ in history hurt a STEM applicant? Otherwise I will send the I am still interested email without an update Thank you

If you are going to email anyway, why not send an update. Just keep the email brief. If it is appropriate you may want to say “if accepted I will attend”

Strictly speaking, colleges that “went to the waitlist”, already have, for the most part. You can send the information out but don’t expect anything.

Thank you. I realize. One of the colleges is definitely still using their wait lists but very sparringly, they asked everyone on the wait list last week to confirm interest via clicking something on their portal.

So here is the question from above

My final report card is better than my mid year report card but not perfect because of two history classes (I am STEM), should I send it and have school send it?

“I am very proud that I was able to bring AP Chem up from a B to an A (A- for the year) and AP math from an A- to an A and would send the whole report card without hesitation (or have school do it whatever) except for the 2 B+s in History (for the record I previously got a 5 in another AP History course). Will it help? Will the B+ in history hurt a STEM applicant?”

Otherwise I will send the I am still interested email without an update

No, you’re good. Send it.
As long as you’re B and above with a few As, it’s better to send it, but I wouldn’t expect anything from it.
