Wow Am I Screwed Or What

I'm an international student and applied to Carnegie Mellon, and today I didnt realize I have to submit my preliminary application thing for international student.

...........................and the deadline was November 1st.

WOW I just sent e-mail and planning to call tomorrow.

Anyone in same situation? wow I M SO SCREWED......................

I'm in the same situation!

I sent mine in, in like mid december or something.

I emailed them and they were like, Thank you for the email, we'll forward your email to the international admission advisor.
And they sent me that, like a day after I sent my email.
And I haven't heard from them since.

But they did say that that prelim app was for intel financial stuff - but cmu doesnt give out fin aid for intels so i dont know why they would need something like that.

Ditto earlier posts, like NoFX I also sent an email to them in December, got the same reply he did and no further information. I submitted my whole application in December. Don't think it'll be a problem. Do post what information you get when you call.

ok, I've sent e-mails and this is what i got from them

: You do not need to fill out the preliminary application at this point. As long
as you submit materials indicating that you can pay the full amount of tuition
your freshman year, you can continue with the admission process.

Let us know if you have any other questions,

Office of Admission

...

so what do I do now?

If the adcoms themselves tell you that you don't need the preliminary application, what is there to worry about assuming that you have tons of money to pay the tuition?

Well I suppose that means that you submit the official International Student Certification of Finances form.

Yeah. Send them an affidavit from your Sponsor(Parent) indicating that you can pay the full fees and maybe accompany that with a bank statement.

thank you all guys, I called the admission office and they said I dont have to fill it out since they understand submitting my application as an international student means I can pay the full tuition... so no worries!!

Yeah. I'm relieved too!

Even though I filled the Pre-App long before the deadline, I still wasn't sure whether they recieved it or not. Now I know it doesn't really matter. :)
