WOW! i love open courseware!

I can’t help myself. My wedding colors were orange, yellow, and oh-so-saturated sky blue.

Ahahaha, I completely agree. MIT Open Courseware is amazing. Although at times I wish they had more material for courses like Molecular Biology. It just inspires curiosity, and shows you a lot of realms of subjects you didn’t even know about, all while explaining it in a humorous and fascinating way.

Wow, and I thought CC’s Fresh Theme was kind of painful. lol. But it was worth it, some good Bio ones. The Cell Bio ones are my favorites.

WAIT, is Professor Lodish, the same guy who wrote the “Molecular Cell Biology”?!

yeah, I wish OCW had more video lectures as well

^Yup, agreed. Reason being I sometimes will turn to UCB webcasts, even though MIT’s are far more amusing and comprehensive.

UCB profs really enjoy talking various parts of California for some odd reason. Gets kind of annoying -_-

On a related note iTunes University has lots of really amazing lectures as well (including OCW ones), including Stanford and other schools.

One and the same. He’s quite a character. :)

iTunes U and OCW are both totally awesome.

Wow, that’s so cool! This is why I need to apply to MIT.

I love OCW. I use it all the time. For physics, math, chem, pretty much everything I want to know.

hahahh same professor:

4:51-----“albegra”

Hey does anyone know if OCW + a couple practice tests is sufficient for self-studying AP’s. I’m interested in studying Calc BC, Bio, Computer Science, maybe others. If they are then lmk which specific courses are best for each, b/c on some of them there’s like 5 “introductions to ”. Thnx.

Depends on what you have in school. Collegeboard provides sample questions for the AP, you can check 'em out and see whether you’re fine with the topics covered.

No I mean using only a course from OCW, is that enough for a 5 on an AP (assuming I have a couple practice tests to use)?

I wouldn’t say so - the courses aren’t meant to cover AP material, and there may be [basic] materials that OCW leaves out and may be on the AP. (I’ll point out that for AP Comp Sci my friend and I just used a Barron’s book and self-studied it to a 5. :))
