what kind of error.
you can still apply as an international student

birth country is incorrect.it says "Dominica" instead of "Dominican republic". :/

the only school i know that is ok with it is FSU,but i might not get in anyways.

Just apply as an international student, it doesn't make much difference.

If that's the situation, I might consider going to a school you can somewhat afford (community college or a city school) for a year, and then transferring to one of the schools you want to attend. I know waiting for a green card will take forever but I wouldn't postpone going to college. It might not be a place you like but at least you'll be earning credit for classes which you could transfer to another institution. I was lucky to have my green card arrive during the October I was sending out applications.

However, I have a question. Why is it that the schools you are applying to won't accept your applications? Is it because you are using the non-international portion of their applications since you thought you were getting the card? I thought a green card is only used to verify that you can get financial aid. Like everyone else said, why not apply as an international student? You won't get financial aid your first year, but you'll be able to apply for it the year you get your card.

i don't know.i spoke to 2 UCF (university of central florida) admission counselors one says i can't apply and the other says it's ok.i was like what the hell.

What a confusing dilemma. I would be frustrated too. Ask for the head admissions director. Hopefully that will answer your questions. :)

yea.i'll do that.If i end up going to a community college and i decide to transfer to a state university,do i need to retake an entrance exam?for example do i need to retake the ACT?

wat so u can't apply as an international student?

community college. cheap. open enrollment. get credits. gg.
