wow i think i made a big mistake..

I have been to 3 schools for my high school years,
and when you've been to more than one school, most colleges would ask for official transcripts from EACH school. I sent just one transcript (with grades and courses from all other schools) from my current school. Will this affect my admission decision a lot, because I didn't "follow instructions"?or worse, my application won't be considered because it's not "complete"?
Do you think I could still get my previous schools to send the transcripts, even though it's well past the deadline?(btw, my 2 previous schools are 2 different countries other than the US)

(Of course, I know some schools, like Stanford and Occidental said it's ok for just one transcript)

^bummpp anyone ? :/

i would check with the schools you’ve applied to.

My three kids each went to two different high schools. The transcripts sent contained grades from both schools and it was no problem.

well, Brown and Columbia did say specifically on their websites that they wanted official transcripts from each school… I just missed that part because I was applying to Stanford and Oxy first so I was under the impression that just one transcript is okay.

@cap: may I ask what colleges your kids went to?

It’s never too late to correct an unintentional omission, and it’s best to correct it right away. So rather than fretting about it, have your previous two high schools send the transcripts. Ask them for a confirmation that they’ve done this. And tell them that it’s time critical. Also it wouldn’t hurt to let the colleges to which you’re applying, know that you’re doing this.

At best, this wasn’t a problem anyway.

alrite, that’s reassuring… thanks for your post fogcity.

I think fogcity’s comment meant–follow her suggestion to send the transcripts, just in case they are necessary.

yep, i’ve contacted all my previous schools to have their transcripts sent
