<p>Penn places you where you need to go..Like with me starting at Erie as a ChemE, I would have to transfer to UP right after I complete the first year because I have to take a certain course.</p>

<p>"strongly recommend trandsfer for 4th semester" which is normally spring session of sophomore year. Don't know if that also means it is easy to transfer at the beginning of the sophomore year, which would make a lot more sense.</p>

<p>I bet there are a lot of technical majors that you could start at a branch but need to more to UP in sooner than two years. And there are some majors that never require you to go there.</p>

<p>As far as waiting two years to transfer from a completely different school, that is new to me. Maybe because it is getting so crowded.</p>
