<p>i know most colleges superscore but somehow this is still making me a bit nervous..
if you take my super score i have a 1350/1600
but will that 50 point drop in the CR be held against me? fkdlfsdpfu :(</p>
<p>(fyi University of Florida is my priority college.. i hope i get in..)</p>
<p>so are those admissions representatives really telling the truth when they say they ONLY see your superscore and nothing else matters, or do they still take into account other scores?</p>
<p>umm?
that doesn't answer ANY of my questions..
this isn't the "brag to me about your scores thread"
so apparently you can make above a 1300 on the SAT but you can't read?</p>
<p>The reason those colleges super score is because they know that certain sections drop while others rise. Which is why they take the highest for each section. So you won't be penalized for dropping 50 points, that's precisely the reason for a super score. Take your highest math, highest reading and add them together.</p>
<p>You just have to make sure the college you're applying to actually uses the superscore in their admission process.</p>
<p>You think that's dramatic... from May to October, my math rose 130 points and my reading dropped 110. Granted, I didn't really try on the reading since I knew schools would superscore.</p>
<p>Apparently, you can't write since you're not even including or mentioning that score. (And don't go making up a number after I said this).
Critical reading is tough for me, I'm not going to lie. And to tell you the truth, yours is not much better. I guess you can't read either.
Plus I wasn't bragging at all in the first place. All I was saying was that I increased dramatically. I'm sorry that I didn't answer your question. I'm sure you could have figured it out on your own if you actually thought about it for a second or so. You even said it yourself : college admissions representatives tell the truth.</p>
<p>Once again you cannot read..
I didn't include all my scores? I wrote them out and even said "my superscore is" just in case it was too difficult for some people to figure out.
Okay no you weren't bragging but you didn't answer my question which was the point behind this whole thread. If I was asking for dramatic score increases/decreases I would of said "Post your most dramatic score change".
And for a THIRD time you cannot read because I did not say "college admission representatives tell the truth" I said "so ARE those college admission representatives REALLY telling the truth when they say ..... ? "
So if you had any basic understanding of the English language you would realize that keywords "are" and "really" and then a QUESTION MARK at the end generally implies some uncertainty about the matter at hand.</p>
<p>The adcom will get all your scores and actually will have to look at all of them in order to superscore (they are smart, they can do math in their head). I don't think the College Board will superscore for you.</p>
<p>The ACT will only send the score (one sitting) that you want. If you take it more than once and submit all your scores, I don't see why they wouldn't superscore if they wanted to.</p>
<p>Once again you cannot read...
First off, you never posted a writing score. You only listed a math score and a critical reading score. I said you didn't post all your scores because believe it or not...YOU DIDN'T POST ALL YOUR SCORES! I bet your writing score went down, didn't it?
Second off, I can't believe you would think that the college admissions representatives would lie to you! (Although I can see why they would - because of people like yourself) For a person who claims to be well educated, you sure have absolutely no common sense. You're just another person who is great at standardized tests but when it comes to 'doing a real life problem' , you have no idea.
Finally, for a person who points out everyone elses faults, you never said "my superscore is". On the other hand, you did say "if you take my super score i have" but because you didn't properly quote yourself, I couldn't have possibly related the two! I mean you must be trying to convey two completely different ideas! I would think that a person who probably proofreads their writing atleast two or three times would be able to properly quote themselves. Also, I would expect an 'educated' person such as yourself to capitalize the first letter of the first word that begins a sentence, but you forgot multiple times! Tisk, tisk.</p>
<p>tribe567, get out. Your posts are completely worthless.</p>
<p>Anyway, don't stress over a minor drop in scores. There is an approximate 30 points deviation on average and colleges will understand that. Also, if the schools say they superscore, they superscore.</p>
<p>tribe what iswrong with you?
alexythemia, don't worry at all. I can understand how this would worry you, as my score worried me, but thinking about it now, i know i shouldn't have worried at all.
my 2nd math dropped from 780 to 710, but my other sections rose so i luck out on the superscore. And that's what almost all colleges will do -- they will superscore. With a few exceptions (U Mich, OSU, U Cal some other state colleges that don't superscoe), at everywhere else you got a 1350. period. and that's a decent score. pat on the back</p>
<p>Congratulations of getting those scores up so much. Can you tell me how you got your math scores up in particular and how much time you spent preparing. My daughter has a goal of getting her math up at least 60 points.</p>
