Long tirade short: It's pretty disturbing to see my school crumble from its former glory 5 years ago. Challenging courses are discontinued and new teachers teach worse than ever. Worst of all, there's no good leadership here. So far, all four dances have been boring and many people think that the prom is going to be a catastrophe since there isn't enough funds. All because people can't get their acts together.

Okay done. Do you really think I should seize leadership positions that are in the hands of the incompetent? If I do, I fear that colleges will think that I'm "unfocused".

Seizing leadership positions ain’t as easy as it sounds. It’s a school, not a West African coup. There are steps and protocols and a semblance of a democratic elections that has to happen before you get anywhere. Also, not to be rude, but what makes you think you can do any better? Teacher’s performances and school funds are not generally in an area where everything could be changed by the wave of a wand… When a program goes downhill, its not usually just the leadership’s fault, its because the majority failed to act properly to save it. Many people obviously don’t give a rat’s ass about those programs in your school.

Who cares if the colleges think you’re unfocused? High school’s a place in itself, not a planning board for college admissions. You do what you feel like you have to do.

Haha, you make your situation sound so dramatic. It sounds more like you’re preforming a coup on a ruined crumbling system rather than just getting a position name in some high school groups.

Long tirade short: It’s pretty disturbing to see the ignorant negro crumble from its former glory 500 years ago. Agricultural developments are discontinued and new teachers teach worse than ever. Worst of all, there’s no good leadership here. So far, all four religions have been boring and many people think that the continent is going to be a catastrophe since there isn’t enough funds. All because people can’t get their acts together.

Okay done. Do you really think I should seize leadership positions that are in the hands of the incompetent? If I do, I fear that colleges will think that I’m “racist”.

Create a partisan group and takeover the (student) government with force. Viva la resistance! Revolution is no bed of roses! The goal of socialism is communism!

Oh, wait, or this is not a communistic revolution?

Leadership positions right now are almost like coups. If someone is doing a bad job, criticize and take their job for a few weeks, and if things turn out well, then you’re there for the rest of the year. I prosper in chaotic times.

Coup d’etat!! Honestly schools have so much red tape and and protocol I can’t really imagine you getting anything done. If you really want to make a difference you going to have to be very diplomatic and authoritative and you’ll have to back that up with some irrefutable arguments. Being diplomatic is important because you have to win the respect of the administration. If you challenge them too much, the faculty will just think you’re a problem student and be extremely stubborn and inflexible (teachers and administrators are usually like that). Taking over the school sounds like fun.
