Wow, the difference in one line

Before the past month, everyone I talked to had been lying to me. They all told me that there was no difference between an A- and an A. Now I know differently. I just want to make sure how much it affects the admissions. Could anyone give an honest response as to the effect of having a transcript full of A-'s would have at the most selective universities?

if it negatively affects your class rank, hella impact.

otherwise, no difference b/w A- and A.

My school is on a different system. There are no "+" of "-" for letter grades.

Most universities don't break up high school grades; that is, when they're recalculating your GPA, they won't equate an A- as 3.8, but rather give the usual 4.0 for a non-AP class.
