I got my acceptance letter today but it says nothing about any scholarships. I have a 36 ACT, am ranked in the top of my class, have nmsf.. does scholarship info come later, perhaps? This doesn't make sense. I wasn't even invited to honors.

With my son, the scholarship info came a little later as I recall. And he didn't get nearly what you'll probably be offered! Congratulations...is it high up on your list?

Depends on the offer. Thanks for your help :)

How much longer will it take to get that letter if I got my acceptance in the mail today?

You probably should have applied for the full scholarship with your achievements. I got my letter this week and was offered $24k with a 1430 and 3.7, so I don't understand why you didn't get anything.

I think you should contact the admisssions office on Monday, since most students get the scholarship award with their acceptance letter. That way, if a mistake was made it can be addressed immediately and you are not waiting to see if another letter follows.

Apply for the DHS. Application is due Dec. 15

can u not apply for DHS if u already got the 24K?

No eri, you most certainly CAN apply for the DHS. However, if you get the DHS, it replaces the Presidential ($24K) scholarship. And, it can be combined with the ($2K/yr) NMS. ( I am guessing any of the scholarships can be combined with the NHS as well).

LOL. what a ****ing joke. I called and they said that they aren't giving me an honors invitation or any scholarships because my rank isnt good enough, even though i'm in the top of the class of a very strong boarding school in Massachusetts. lmao...

rhyn0-
Did you ask them for a reconsideration? That seems perplexing. Something must be amiss....

yes, this seems really strange. I was only in the top 20% in a public school, so I don't see why they wouldn't consider you.

rhyn - Definately something wrong here. I can't imagine anyone in Tulane admissions being so rude as to say that! I'd suggest contacting the head of the Honors Program.

Do you happen to have a somewhat common name? Perhaps they have your file mixed up with someone elses???

I would have your guidance counselor give them a call--- something doesn't sound right

Doesn't sound right. How about contacting your local Tulane rep. Ours (in New Jersey) has been very helpful on lots of fronts.

My s got his acceptance on line today. How long until he receives is letter and hopefully merit aid info?

My guess is they know you're not planning to attend with your stats, and they'd rather try to entice a more likely candidate. Did you visit the school? Show any particular interest? Or just complete their priority app?

Even if you don't receive a scholarship, Tulane has tons of aid to offer. Even to people who don't need it.

hello5---my D got her official acceptance letter including the merit scholarship info about 2 weeks after we saw the acceptance on line.

what are the various types and amounts of scholarships? I know there is a 24k, is there anything else?
