<p>Yes, I have to remind myself that for most students and alumni of the illustrious but cash starved University of California, any state-of-the-art, first class building resembles a house of worship. But to the initiated, USC is merely maintaining and investing in its students. The inscription on Tommy Trojan lists five attributes that define us: faithful, scholarly, skillful, courageous and ambitious. The new athletic center is consistent with those attributes as well as the Italian Romanesque architecture of our beloved and gorgeous campus.</p>
<p>^ Hey, your Pac-12 North brethren is putting the finishing touches on its own new training facility and updated football stadium. Keeping up with the Joneses…Haha!</p>

<p>Despite being cash starved, Cal’s Simpson Athletic Center cost double USC’s…mostly due to its location underground and next to historic Memorial Stadium.</p>
