Accepted: Wesleyan, UChicago, Duke
Waitlisted: WashU
Waiting: Brown, Dartmouth, Tufts

I was deferred ED from Brown, and even though I’m in love with the school, I have amazing options that I did not expect to have, and so even though I’m prepping myself for rejection, I’m really ok with it. Good luck to everyone!

Deferred Brown ED.

Accepted: Northwestern, BC Honors, UMich, Wisconsin, Tulane

Waitlisted: WUStL

Waiting on Tufts, too. But I absolutely love Northwestern – it was my first choice until I discovered Brown – and I will be perfectly happy attending there if Brown falls through!

Not waitlisted/rejected anywhere yet…
Waiting on Harvard, Yale, and Brown, but not worried too much. I’m going to feel worse rejecting schools than getting rejected, since I really love both UW and UVa.

Duke rejected 50% of applicants w/o reading their applications…not cool

accepted: WUSTL, Emory, USC, Tulane, UMichigan, Colgate
Waitlisted: Claremont McKenna, Vanderbilt

waiting: William and Mary, Brown, Yale

above, is the thing about Duke true? **** them

@XoKiwiKisses No I mean accepted. I received an email saying that I was accepted and then a few days later I received a letter confirming that.

@greenguru

“Duke rejected 50% of applicants w/o reading their applications.”

that’s not true. duke did not reject anyone without reading their application. they only rejected 50% of them without a conference. they read the applications twice, and decided that those are the “automatic rejects”

Accepted: Indiana, Northeastern, Tulane, UMich, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, USC, Brandeis, Emory
Rejected: UCLA, Northwestern
Still to come: Brown, Columbia (both rejections)

Wow. All of you have already been accepted to incredible schools. Most of you really have nothing to worry about. I’m just really nervous for Tufts tomorrow because, honestly, I would be very happy going there and getting rejected from columbia/brown/penn/princeton/yale/cornell/hopkins. I think everyone has that one school they are excited about that isn’t an ivy, and for me that’s Tufts. I’m really hoping to get in tomorrow. It would make Brown so much less painful.

Accepted: Tulane, JMU, VT, UVA
Waitlisted: None
Rejected: None

Waiting patiently for Brown decision!!!

Accepted: Boston University, SUNY Binghamton, Syracuse University,
University of Washington Seattle , University of Rochester

Rejected: Boston College, Brandeis U., Carnegie Mellon University, Duke U., Emory U.,
GeorgeWashington U., NYU, UVa, Vanderbilt U., and Washington U. in St. Louis

Waiting for: Brown, Cornell, Tufts

I am so scared and hopeless…

Honestly, the thing that has helped the most is constantly reminding myself that wherever I end up will just be the place I attend for a year before I (hopefully) transfer to MIT.

Accepted: Georgetown SFS, Wesleyan, BC
Waitlisted: Vassar
Rejected: Middlebury

Waiting on… BROWN!

Everyone is loving the Brown University this year… haha. But I must confess that I’m nervous out of my mind. The thing is, my mom is a professor there, but I haven’t been able to gauge how strong a hook that is. I mean, I’ll be thankful out of my mind if I get in, but if I don’t I’ll also feel like the fool who couldn’t get in even when her mom works there, haha.

Juliaclaire,
I would think that’s a strong hook. Also you’re into Wesleyan–I feel like Brown and Wes like similar students based on their literature although that’s jmo

Accepted to UCLA, Cal, UF, UVA, UPitt, Case Western Reserve, USC, Wellesley, Barnard (Centennial Scholar!)
Waitlisted: UChicago (essay didn’t fit prompt), WUSTL (didn’t show interest)
Rejected: Stanford REA, MIT

Waiting on HYP, Brown, Cornell, JHU.

I dunno how things are going to go! I haven’t heard back from any of my reachiest schools that had my “standard” application, the common app. I completely redid everything after Stanford’s REA, and MIT had a completely different application (and I didn’t do an interview for them…).
I put possible reasons for my waitlist decisions, but I fully understand that I may simply have not been qualified enough! I didn’t do any optional interviews anywhere, either, so that may have contributed.

I feel very blessed for my acceptances so far and will be delighted to attend Barnard if I get all rejections on Thursday. New York City Great FA, and a $4,000 stipend for Centennial Scholar! Woo!
Brown’s my absolute best personality/academic fit, though, so I’m hoping. I love you, Brown. :(

Just curious, nigerianboy, do you live in Nigeria? or are you a U.S. Citizen? I’m from Nigeria too (purely international). I have to say, you were accepted to pretty top schools. Congratulations man. Keep repn 9ja.

Accepted - Texas A&M, Howard
Rejections - Stanford, MIT, Northwestern (Pretty hard on me)
Pending - Yale, Brown, UPenn, Columbia

Good luck everyone. Fingers crossed.
