Wow

does anyone know about WOW and the importance of attending it if students already will be attending SOAR?

WOW is very different from SOAR. soar basically is information sessions whereas wow focuses on meeting new people and becoming familiar with cal poly and the town of slo. WOW is a lot of group activities with your wow group, like kayaking, rock climbing, playing games, and a lot of other stuff. WOW is definitely a lot more fun than soar. I would say wow is definitely worth participating in even if you go to soar because it gives you the chance to meet new people (your wow group spends the entire time together so you get to know the 10 or so other people in your group better) and just have some fun before school starts.

And we parents aren’t there. ;)

You can register and pay for WOW on the portal under orientation programs.
$150 now plus they are told to have $25 for activities planned by their WOW leaders.

oops i didn’t see this and asked a question about wow on another thread…

WOW is definitely important and worth it! I remember in my WOW group we had barbecues, kayaking trips, beach trips, games, and general exploration of the SLO area. Also, I’m still friends with many of my WOW people (almost a year later).

oooooooh i think I got u 2leashes…lol
