anyone know anything about WPI

pleasseeee this is very important to me, and my counsler doesnt help out at all

I've applied there, it looks to be a fairly good school. I don't know anything about the medical dept., though. I pretty much decided that I'm not going to go there, after finding out that you have to pay a fee to take more than 3 classes per term (short, 7 week terms).

It's a good school for engineering, and is ranked quite high- number 53. I don't see how med schools could look down on it. I doubt that many premeds go there. That may be an advantage, or a disadvantage. You should try to visit. It may be a very good place to fulfill premed requirements and also end up with an engineering degree.

One of my good friends is going there and she loves it. She is pre-veternarian, but I can't really tell you much more about WPI.

We visited. The campus was surprisingly VERY compact. The people we met were VERY friendly (but limited since it was summer). The merit aid package was generous. The biggest complaint was the 7 week quarters. One of the professors even complained that it was far too short. If you happen to get sick (or need to go home for a funeral, or have bf / gf problems), you miss far too much in a short absence.

the 7 week quarters, does that mean after 28 weeks you have completed a year? So only half a year of serious learning/studying for half a year vacation???

This year, first day of classes was August 25, last day is May 2. Same as every other school pretty much.

Also, I highly recommend WPI.
