I got a 73 raw score and a 9 on the essay, and I got a 740. That may give you some general idea on the curve.

you mean 53 raw score ?

Sorry, I had assumed the 73 listed above my essay score had been my raw score for the multiple choice questions. I actually got 2 multiple choice incorrect, and a 9 on the essay.

2 wrong and 10 on essay for may was a 750.

Sirensong, when did you take the SAT?

2 wrong (75 MC) and 10 essay for December 08 was 770.

1 wrong (76 MC) and 10 essay for January 09 was 770

January 09

yea january 2009 was an especially rough curve - hopefully not the norm

BTW, if you get none wrong and a nine on your essay, is that an 800?

Yes ,most likely ,but 1 error drops yo to 760

That’s ridiculous…

yes i feel like the WR curve really robs you of some well-deserved points! LOL

Yes. I got none wrong and a 9 on my essay, and I got an 800 on the May test

It’s more important to get the multiple choice right than to do well on the essay.
