What other schools should I apply to?
Would I get into any?

What is your financial situation? Home state? Proposed major?

UCLA/UCB/Pomona: Reach
Your SAT score is competitive, GPA is not.

SIngle mother, Florida, and applying directly through art department

dang, i think your half hispanic half native american will get you places. you have no idea how much that can go for you. Double minority. no offense.

only discrepancy is your gpa, but are your ap scores good, or reflective of your gpa?

id say reaches for ivys, williams, swarthmore, ucla, pomona bc of gpa.

matches for the rest.

chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1853380-last-chance-with-updated-college-list-usc-washu-ucs-cal-polys-ill-chance-back.html#latest

i really think your art/race will get you places. I mean, gpa is important but sometimes admissions people like diversity.

Cal and UCLA will likely be unaffordable, as you would have to pay out of state tuition rates and would get little or no aid because you are not a CA resident. So you should take them off your list. Likely the same is true for Purdue, which is also a state school.

What is the status of your bio dad? That makes a difference in the affordability of the rest of your list.

Also, how can you be a Hispanic male, and also half Native American and half White? The numbers aren’t adding up…

Hispanic ethnic, my mom is native american heritage, my dad is meztizo with direct tribal heritage. Affordability is less of an issue, i could pay for ucla and berkley if i got im

I have gotten 5s on every ap I have taken up to this point, might change with lang haha

Your gpa is obviously an big issue for most top schools but your URM status might somewhat compensate for it. Hard to say. You might want to look into Dartmouth. Their original charter was to serve Native Americans and they have maintained a strong recruitment effort ever since. Good luck!

UCLA/Cal do not consider race in admissions since California publics banned affirmative action. Your race may help a bit at the privates.
