Agreed! Still waiting from the November auditions. Ugh.
Tom Hanks is coming to WSU for the dedication of the new Motion Pictures center. He’s been a huge supporter of the Motion Pictures program for years. The Theater/MT kids will be performing excerpts of some of the recent shows during his visit. Here’s an article on his visit and the upgrades to the Motion Pictures facilities.

Thanks for sharing that one, @mom4bwayboy ! Great stuff!
Today is the last day of spring break for WSU and we have it on “good authority” that acceptances have been going out today. Not sure how they are being communicated. Hope it’s good news for all our WSU hopeful peeps on CC.
Way to ruin a perfectly good Sunday evening, @mom4bwayboy! Just kidding. No calls here today, so I guess we put this one–my kid’s favorite–to bed. Too much news is … too much news.
Last year it was letters…
Thanks @MTmom2015. I think I see a glimmer. . . .
My S got a letter two years ago, too. And for some reason it seemed to take longer than necessary to go 60 miles through the USPS. . .
They said at Nov auditions that it would be a simple envelope. Sigh. Gotta run home at lunch
Not that you’ll have this experience, but for some reason S’s rejection letter from CCM took two weeks to travel the eight miles to our house (based on the date printed in the letter - portal information never changed, so we had to “guess” he was rejected by the number of OTHER people posting their acceptances). We can only assume it sat in some campus mail bin for 1.9 weeks. WSU’s letter was much more timely, but it did take a few days to arrive. Thinking good thoughts for your S @EmTeeDad2016. Try to keep breathing.
At least they’re finally being released! BAL everyone.
Developing a serious case of letter-phobia here. Small, white, and hope-killing. Best of luck everyone!
If I remember right, S’s letter came the typical business sized envelope. Not a lot of hoopdy-doo involved. Which is pretty much WSU’s Theater/MT style - not a lot of flash and hype. Just terrific faculty and training in a supportive, nurturing environment. More of the “Rah-Rah” stuff came from the university admissions.
Here’s a little something to take your mind off the size of the envelopes that may be winging their way to your mailboxes. This article focuses on four MTs who came from the same Georgia HS, but the one currently playing Elder Price in London’s West End is a recent WSU grad. (I’m not sure if this is the same school, but there is one Georgia HS that brings a busload of kids to audition at WSU every year. Perhaps the one Dave Clemmons is involved with. Not sure if it’s the same school mentioned here, or not)

Yes! This is the same HS. One of the freshmen this year is a Pebblebrook grad. There is at least one other at WSU in the upper classes. Wonderful article!
Away on SB, won’t see any mail until March 13 =P~ Save me from madness.
@destiny95 - Everything. will. be. OK. ENJOY your SB (somewhere sunny??). Breathe. The mail will be what it is. As Doris Day so beautifully sang, “Que sera, sera” - Whatever will be, will be. Have fun on your last break as a HS senior. We’ll hold downtime fort for you here on CC and send good thoughts into the great beyond on your behalf.
In honor of all of us waiting…

A throwback @EmTeeDad2016! Good luck!! We are waiting to hear too!
