Wright State Talk 2015

works

Anyone still waiting for a letter?

We are still waiting.

News of two wait listed students has come through the grapevine in the last two days. I have no facts to report, but it’s possible that geographical location is a factor in how quickly the news is received. Good thoughts, good thoughts, good thoughts. . .

Hoping to hear soon. We did get the full ride paperwork from NKU, so that’s a plus. Two of S friends are wait listed

Fingers crossed.

@EmTeeDad2016, Did you mean your son’s friends are wait listed at WSU or at NKU? Are they boys? My son is wait listed at WSU and we are hoping it is not a giant wait list. Ughh…

Wait listed at wright state. One boy one girl.

Perhaps WSU’s ultimate freshman class list will revert to the old pattern - X% choose to go with other acceptances - rather than last year’s anomaly of everyone accepted at WSU being admitted.

Ugh, we haven’t heard anything either way. :frowning:

We have a friend who has been calling the 3-4 schools they have not heard from … All have had results out to others for 1-4 weeks. She was given results for her daughter for two schools (accepted for acting and a MT WL), one status of mailing update and found out one school had her email bounce back. No harm in calling if you haven’t heard by the end of the week.

Do you think that is a good or bad thing?

I haven’t heard anything AT all. Not by mail. and I only live 3 hours away…

Uuggh!

Just posted this on another thread, but wanted to put it here too: my D just said she heard 12 have been accepted for MT, but she doesn’t know anything about a waitlist. In years past they sent multiple acceptances (don’t know how many) to get a percentage for a class yield of around 12. They also did rolling admissions. Last year almost everyone accepted, and they had a much larger than normal freshman class, so they changed the process for this year. Wish I knew more! ADDING: This is redundant - but I copy/pasted.

For students that auditioned for both musical theater and acting are rejections/acceptance letters sent separately? Daughter received very brief letter this afternoon stating she was not admitted into BFA musical theater program but did not mention acting.

Hmmm. How was it signed? Joe Deer is Head of MT, but Bruce Cromer is Head of Acting. Stuart McDowell is Head of the whole Theater department. If it’s not clear, you can always call. Victoria Oleen is very nice.

@mom4bwayboy letter was signed by W. Stuart McDowell, Chair and Artistic Director

If it were me, I guess I’d call. Just to make sure. . .

So wright state sent letters today?
