Writing 39B and Writing 39C

<p>I have heard from several people that if you do well enough in Writing 39B, you can have the option of not having to take Writing 39C. Instead of taking 39C, you would have the option of taking an easier class Writing class (poetry, fiction writing, etc.?)</p>

<p>Is this true? And if so, how well must you do in Writing 39B to get this option? An A? A-? B+? B? Or is it entirely up to the instructor?</p>
