Writing a letter of recommendation for a teacher.

So my ex-statistics teacher wants me to write her a letter of recommendation for some teaching award. What do I say about her, besides "Ms. X is the best damned teacher ever and she really likes math and proofs and stuff?"

i wrote one for a teacher once...basically i just said why i admired her, gave examples of innovative methods she uses in her teaching, etc.

it was pretty easy for me though, because i really like her.

Perhaps give an example that shows any of the above?

Many teachers know their stuff (hopefully). Show how she connects with the students, how her enthusiasm for math carries over to the students, how she helps the students love her class, love math, etc.

Maybe you can give examples of how you (possibly) ever had trouble with a topic, and how she helped you through that.

Wow, what an honor you have of being asked to write one for her. awesome
