Writing about my faith?

Dean J,

I was wondering if this was acceptable for a supplement essay, considering UVA is public. Would it be looked down upon?

I just feel that writing about one of the most important things in my life would help you guys learn more about me than if I wrote about something else.

We’ve definitely covered this one before.

[I’ve also mentioned it briefly on my blog](<a href=“Notes from Peabody: The UVA Application Process: Search results for religious]I've”>Notes from Peabody: The UVA Application Process: Search results for religious).

that’s the big thing you should get from the first link.

snow, someone asked this question in the chat as well and I basically gave them a version of Dean J’s response. Write about what your passionate about without going over the line. In other words, don’t be offensive or quick to dismiss any other view. (I’m not saying you will; it’s just a general piece of advice.) It would be better that you wrote about your religion than english class.

yup!! you’re on the right track. good luck. :)
