For those of you who got perfect for the writing section MC, which books did u use to get those last few points? I notice that I either completely ace the writing for a test or I get groups of 3 wrong...How can I become more consistent?

I got a perfect score for the writing multiple choice, but for me it wasn’t really about studying. If you are already that close to receiving a perfect score, my suggestion would be to work on answering the simple questions faster, tbereby allowing you more time to really consider the more difficult questions. It may sound simple, but it helped me to raise my writing score from 650 to 800 Good luck!

I used the blue book. Keep reviewing the writing questions (even the ones you get right). I was surprised there were tons of questions on my SAT that mirrored the ones in the book.

I missed one of the MC, but still got an 800 :D

^okay, thanks. So I should just carefully look over each of the questions. It’s just kind of annoying because I still find it hard to write a great essay, so I really need a 49 in order to get an 800. I don’t feel confident enough about the essay that I can assure an 11 (which I need if I get a single question wrong), though I feel confident enough that I can get okay scores in the 9-10 range.

I got 49 mc

Like it has been said above, do BB!

Also do online course and other CB materials

To write a good essay, make sure you go into the testing room with 6 solid examples that you have memorized (this saves alot of time and energy). Just state your thesis, plug in your memorized examples (change them so they flow with your essay), slap on a conclusion and done.

^ I followed this and got 12, 12, 11 on the three times I took the SAT. (well the times I didn’t cancel)

Are 6 examples really enough though? What about the occasional “odd-ball” essay topics? I don’t want to leave my writing score up to chance. Is there any way to prepare for those?

i keep getting 600-650…just keep practicing the same tests?
