<p>Hey...i have won the scholastic gold key award for short stories regionally and silver key nationally for silver key...i was just awarded with an honorable mention for poetry and a merit mention for poetry from the arts awards..i was wonderng if anyone that has been involved in the writing competitions of these two could tell me how competitve these awards look.....are the recent awards for writing from the arts awards worth notifying my early decision college? does anyone have any experience with it? i know that colleges look at artists, dancers and musicians differently, how do they view writers...can that be a "hook"</p>
