I was reading the 12 essay in 10 days post and I'm just shocked if anyone actually followed his time proportions.

How do you elaborate on a point in less than 5 minutes? I can barely write 7-8 coherent sentences in less than 5 minutes, let alone a topic supporting paragraph!

I vaguely remember that the poster called the elaboration process “Accelerated Plug-in”. His idea was that you should already know what to write for each example that it shouldn’t take you too long. For example, if you’re writing about MLK, the story remains the same, but the “personal input” should be different. So, you should already know the story part and should be able to just start writing without thinking much. I hope that made sense…

Still… Writing it all less than 5 min? Must be geniuses to write THAT fast… Or at least speed writers

Haha. I think it’s quite possible, actually. But I can never do it, so I don’t know what my opinion is worth. I took the SAT three times, and I’ve only written 3-4 paragraphs for all three tries. Writing 3-4 paragraphs is fine as long as you can make it good. I received double digit scores for all three tries.
