Hi! I am a Junior that loves Writing and would like to make it an important part of my college career. I want to use my writing skills in a career where I could be creative and still work in a business environment so I have thought about minoring in Writing and doing a major in something like Marketing or Advertising. Last year I participated in Boston University's Summer Challenge and took Creative Writing & Mass Communication.

I am looking into Summer Programs for this year but not specifically a Writers Workshop. So far, I have narrowed it down to three quite different options, but would love to know if anyone has heard about any of this programs and can give me some inside information or if you would recommend another program. It wouldn't hurt to know if any of this programs would look better than the others in a college application also!

Thanks for your input!

For now, my three choices are:

Summer Hoya / Georgetown University
Fundamentals of English
Expository Writing
5 Week, College Credit Program
Summer Programs for High School Students | Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies

University of Wisconsin / Madison
Creative Writing Workshop
Fantasy in Film and Literature Workshop
Social Media Workshop
4 Weeks NON-Credit Program
(This program includes Visits in 6 to 7 Colleges around the area)
Wisconsin Courses | ACA Summer

Integrated Marketing Communication Program
(Intro to Marketing Communication and Writing for Marketing Communication)
University of Mississippi
4 Weeks NON-Credit Program
Summer College For High School Students - The University of Mississippi
